walking and walking!

umm yes this week has been freezing cold, like bitter cold!!! but yesterday and today have been really nice (well only nice because its not in the teens anymore haha) we havent had a ton of appointments with investigators because we really dont have that many so when we arent teaching someone, we are out walking. we walk a lot haha most days we walk about 3 or 4 hours. this past week we have been focusing on visiting Less Actives, but all of them live really far apart so we have to walk to each of their houses, and each person we have tried to visit this past week, none of them have been home...... so we just leave them message cards we made them instead. at times its a little frustrating to think you walked all that way to talk to them for them not to be home but then i have to remind myself that all this walking will help me not get AS fat (cause ive gained weight...whoops... haha korean food is just to good!) oh but one of the people we tired visiting, the address was wrong and it took us to an abandoned neighborhood and it was the craziest thing i have ever seen my whole life! it was like a scene from a movie (its how i pictured hunger games to be haha) there was trash everywhere, broken windows, random doors wide open and cats running around. it was the weirdest feeling there. not like a creepy feeling that you get when you need to leave a place just a weird feeling because you knew no one was there at all! dont worry i took pictures for all of you to see!
I saw picutres of the torch on facebook but we didnt get to actually see it, which we were sad about. sadly we wont be the missionaries that get to help with the olympics, because its out in the country part of our mission, so those missionaries get to help a little bit!!! i wish we could help too that would be sooo cool!!!!!!!!!!!
but really i am doing good, i love my companion. she is super sweet and funny! and super patient when i try and speak korean to her! and our investigators are super patient with me too which is nice (i think it helps that i am teaching the english so i am patient with them when they try to talk to me so they do the same for me!)  My area is way bigger then my last area, and the ward is WAY bigger! since we have the temple in our area we have the temple missionaries in our ward as well and most of them are americans and we have a lot of americans in our ward, as well as visitors from all over the world. so our ward is very mixed with different people. but everything is still in korean but its nice to know if i need to talk to someone in english i can because they have a lot of people there that know english! but the poor elders have to do translations for everyone during all the meetings! haha
One of our investigators said yes to baptism this week!!!! she will be baptized February 10th so we currently have two with dates (which in my last area we never could get even one to say yes!) so its been nice teaching people about the gospel rather then just english. the investigator with the date in february is so prepared, its crazy! she has the warmest heart and really wants to let the gospel change her life she is so funny too. this past week we taught her the law of chasitity and she says " thats why you marry a good man, because if you marry a bad man you might be tempted to break that commandment, thats what my mom tells me" we were laughing so hard! i am so excited for her. i love her!!!
sorry this email is super short, but nothing super exciting happened this week besides a whole lot of walking around haha but im glad to hear you are all doing good, well besides pink eye and a bruised ankle! but know that i love you all and pray for all of you all the time!!!!!!!!!!!
