Best Week Ever

his week has flown by, way faster then all the other weeks and it was all great!!!!
at the beginning of the week i felt like i was always overwhelmed with things and i couldnt figure out why. i didnt know if it was the language and the mission in general but it always seemed that no matter what i did i always had those feelings. till one night my teacher felt like something was off with all of us so he took us outside to go talk to the people on the tours at the open house, except we arent allowed to talk to them so we went and sang to them "I am a Child of God" in korean instead and it was amazing. i felt so much peace after that and the rest of the week i didnt feel like i was overwhelmed or anything! the rest of the week was so good and honestly i have no idea why, part of me thinks it was because we were finally able to go to the temple (oh we went today too, the temple is the best!!!)
on wednesday we got to host the early arrival/international missionaries, except there was only one sister that came early so we ended up sitting on the couch just talking for our two hour shift. it was fantastic. and we all realized we havent even sat down and not thought about korean the whole time we have been here and we will never have that chance again, so it was a nice little energy boast for the week!
oh gosh..... on friday my district made it a goal to do an english fast for 24 hours (that means all we can speak is korean, but if you have to speak english you have to put it in the korean sentence structure) it was so incredbily hard but also so fun! it helped me realize that i actually know more then i thought i knew but also that i have so much more to learn before i leave (3 weeks exactly from today!!! which mean if you want to send me letters you better do it within the next few weeks ;) ) we had a lot of fun with it though because most of us dont know a lot so we would end up saying random stuff that had  nothing to do with anything so just we could say something in korean rather then sit in silence. and it made class time real interesting because our teachers would ask us questions and we would all stare at them in silence because we didnt know how to answer them in korean, so eventually they told us that if we have to we can answer them in english because they were tired of us just staring at them.
on Saturday we were able to help with the open house tours as testifiers. it was so incredible and made me super excited to go be a real missionary in korea!!! so with the tours they choose random districts to either be positioned through out the tour so people can ask them questions or they have them in rooms at the very end of the tours where they show the people a little video on missionary work and testify on how this experience has blessed their lives. we were able to talk to so many different people and bear our testimonies on how this gospel had blessed our lives and how the past month has completely changed our lives for the better. it was so fun to see the little kids and talk to them about random stuff, some kids get SUPER excited to see missionaries so it made our day so much better!!! plus it was nice to talk to people that werent missionaries and they didnt do the same thing we do everyday. it was cool to hear about people lives and alittle about what they do. i cant wait till i can go to korea and do that everyday!!
OK NOW FOR THE BEST PART OF THE WEEK!
so sunday for dinner my district sat around talking for a while and we lost track of time. when we realized what time it was we were already supposed to be seated for devotional, so we just decided to head straight to the over flow room when the Executive Secretay to the MTC president stopped us and asked why we were going over there so we told him that we figured the Gym would already be full. so he looked at us and said "i can tell you guys are faithful obedient missionaries so follow me because you guys will really want to be in the gym for this devotional" so we were like okay and followed him. he found us seats right in the front row of the gym. the devotional was really good. Elder Oakes daughter is an incredible vionlist so she played for us. then normally after sunday devotional we go and choose a church movie to watch but this week the presidency asked us to all watch the "Character of Christ" talk by elder bednar (which to be honest i was not that happy to watch that for the 3rd time) but we watched it anyway. then after the movie ended we were all ready to get up and leave cause it ended at 9 and thats when we are supposed to be back in the dorms when someone from the presidency said "We would ask you so stay seated because we have a special treat for all of you" and GUESS WHAT?!?!?!? ELDER BEDNAR WALKS IN!!! and we were front and center, a real blessing actually! he did a questionarie with us for an hour and it was amazing! i actually was struggling a little yesterday because i had been fasting alll day that i would feel peace and comfort when it came to korean and that i would get conformation that i would eventually learn it. all day i had been hoping to get an answer and i was getting nothing, until Elder Bednar bore his testimony. he started out by saying "there are some of you here that feel like you cant do this, but i want you to know you can. just stick it out a little longer and you will see that you can. you dont have to be perfect at being a missionary or even at a language as long as you try your best and rely on the lord." i knew that that was Heavenly Fathers way of answering my prayer. that was exactly what i needed to hear to realize that while i struggle now, it will come eventually and that peace i was praying for came. it was the best.
i loved all your pictures this week, they were all so cute! im so happy you guys are all doing well!!! im also happy you got to spend so much time with Lincoln and Lainey, i miss them so much! i love and miss you all so much!
love
