we got transfer calls this past week so here the update:
obvisouly
i am getting a new companions because Sister rhodes goes home this
week, so i am so sad to say goodbye to her, she is so funny! my new
companions name is 이다경 and yes she is korean haha we actually came to
the country together! she doesnt know a lot of english which means it
will make me have to use more korean then i have been for the past few
transfers and i have to help her learn how to teach an english connect
class so we will see how that goes! but on the bright side i am staying
in both my areas so i am super happy about that!!! i love these two
areas!
this week we had an awesome lesson with
our investigator Jessica, we were teaching her the plan of salvation
and because she already knew part of it we asked her if she knew what
baptisms for the dead was and she said yes and taught us what they were
and then she got tear eyed and said i actually had a thought a few
minutes ago that i need to do those for my dad who passed away when i 4"
she said she has really struggled with the fact that her dad died when
she was so young because she doesnt know him at all so we were able to
testify to her that her dad loves her and that she will be able to see
him again and that we know that he is watching over and protecting her.
the spirit was so strong! i hope we can keep helping her progress!!
funny story for the week:
we
had a 식사 or lunch with a member this past week and during the meal she
was saying how much heavenly father has blessed her and then she left
the room and came back holding clothes and she started handing us these
clothes and having us try it on, she wanted to give us them. and then
she would walk back in the room and come back with more clothes, she
gave us 2 huge bags of clothes and 2 other huge bags full of food. so
then she made us take a taxi home and the taxi we got in was actually a
minister for another church. so he saw our tags and turned on this
minister radio channel that was pretty much saying we all need to repent
or we are going to hell kind of thing. he had a cross around his mirror
so we asked him if he believed in Christ and he said "yes me and my two
sons are ministers" so we were like wow thats awesome, hey have you
heard of the book of mormon? and he said no so we just happened to be at
a stoplight so i pulled on out and let him look at it and told him
about it and then he handed it back and didnt talk the rest of the ride
home hahhahhahahah so we joked and said he felt the spirit and it
freaked him out thats why he ignored us haha at least we tried!
