happy 추석

hi mommy!!! Happy 추석 to everyone (korean thanksgiving is today so our pday will actually be wednesday)

Have i ever told you how much i love you?! if not i thought i would tell you know hahah i love you, your emails are always the best!!!!

this week was much better then last week, we are having almost everyone now working to get the english classes started, i just really hope we can get them started, we are planning on next tuesday to be the start date, right now we have 5 people for that class signed up but we are still trying to work really hard to get the rest of the classes full so we can start those too, for some reason not as many people here want free english classes from americans, haha but we will keep trying

Crazy story for you all this week:
my branch presidents wife had her baby this week, we texted them while they were at the hospital and asked how they were doing and they said we are great you can come visit us if you want to we went and brought them some snacks because we figured at least the President Rubio would be hungry, right when we got there she started having the worse contractions (she had been in labor for 24 hours) so we sat and talked to president Rubio for 40ish mins and then we all decided it would be better if we left  because we all were pretty positive the baby would come soon. he came 30 mins after we left. she is the cutest lady i have ever met. she then messaged both of us last night telling us thank you for coming because she felt like it was because we came that she was able to have the baby. then she sent us the cutest text and said that she really believes it is perfect timing tht god sent us to their branch because she really feels like we can do so much good up there, man i love that family and branch so much all ready!!!

we got to go to the base on monday and it was the weirdest thing of my life, i about died when i saw so many white people, especially white men.... i decided this week that i will be the most awkward person when i come home because white people freak me out and i dont know how to talk to them in english anymore without throwing in korean words. they even had me say the closing prayer last week and i really struggled with it because it had been over a year since i have prayed in english.... it was the worst hahah i will pray that serving in the branch will help me become more comfortable with white people again, or at least speaking english hahah

we had an awesome lesson with our investigator Jessica, she is the one who is giving up coffee, she is now done to one cup of coffee all on her own, and at the end of the lesson last week she told us that she wants to learn everything she needs to know and keep in order to get baptized because she feels like in her heart she is ready she just needs to prepare herself more, we both about died and said heck yeah we can teach you those things!!! that was a good day!!! oh and right now we are also teaching someone who is muslim... well kind off we are starting by just teaching her english but when we did that last week she asked us so many questions about our church and what is different about it so we hope that with time we can teach her more and more. she is so cute and her two kids are the cutest things ever!!!! but it is a little hard because she doesnt speak any english and korean is her second language so we talk mostly through google translate haha

well i love you so much!!! and i hope you have a great week!

Love
Hemenway 자매

yeah but she is actually american haha she was raised in america! yeah we do have an oven, we havent used it yet so i am not sure if it works haha we have like no food at our house so we usually eat out, we have a really bad moth problem so we are scared to bring food in the house....
yeah the members gave us a lot of food yesterday, the other sisters have eaten a lot with the members, with us its hard because the members didnt know us till yesterday because we finally went to church so we are hoping to get more meals here! and yeah you can eat really cheap here if you go to a kimbob place they have so many options for food and most are between 3-6 dollars! and the weather has been so nice! in the mornings and nights its cold enough for a sweater but the days feel amazing!!
i would love to bring you all here, that is my dream! plus you need to try all the amazing food!!! then you can understand why i have gotten  so fat hahahahahha
we havent fully decided we want to clean the house a little to try and get rid of the moths, my comp wants me to color her hair and then the other sisters want to go to costco so we might go there too but other stuff i am not sure yet!
hahah i know dont worry i wont touch mine, i really need quel to fix it, it is so bad!!!! umm accroding to the elders there is shopping and food and thats about it, we are planning on heading to seoul next week because my comp wants to wear a hanbok before she goes home (tradtional dress_
Elder Wagner told me about a really cheap place in seoul where i can buy one, he got one for 30 bucks last week, so he said he will send the address
