1st of i just want to give a shout out to
mom for teaching me how to make rice, i made rice for my comp the other
day cause she was sick and that was all she could eat and she said i can
make rice really well, at thats a huge compliment coming from a
korean!!! heheh
transfer call update: wow
this transfer will be crazy!!!! my comp is leaving and she is going to
serve with sister Hansen, my old comp! and sister hansens comp is coming
here, Sister Fryer i served with her in the MTC, but she is 6 weeks
older in the mission then me! and we will both be STs, but wait thats
not all. ilsan is getting 2 more sister again! so we will be a 4 sister
area again and i am so excited!!!! its so much more fun living with 4
sisters then 2. oh district is being made a helping hands district and
they are testing everything with us, we are the first ones to start the
new english class outside of the helping hands building in seoul. so if
everything goes well here then they will start opening them up in other
areas, so we are hoping to do well hahah
This
past week has been so crazy! and so insanely hot, i think i am just used
to always being super wet now, and its really gross! yesterday we went
to Seoul and did a combined district activity where we did a lemonade
stand (it went much better then the first time we did it when i was a
greenie) but the only place we could do it and didnt get kicked out or
yelled at by vendors was right in the sun, so we were all dying by the
end, but it was fun giving lemonade to people because they were all hot
there too so we were glad to brighten their days a little more! We saw a
lot of people from the Philippines and i told my comp that hunter is
going to baptize all of them!
On saturday
our investigator got baptized!!!! she was so cute and so excited! after
the baptism she looked so happy! but to be honest the whole day itself
was super crazy! right before the baptism started a members son (who is
autistic) went missing, so we were all running around the church trying
to find him but once we realized that he wasnt anywhere in the church we
had to run around outside and try to find him there but no luck, but
luckily a lot of members came out for the baptism so a lot of them went
out to look. Bishop told us to go through with the baptism and just pray
that the members and police who are out looking for him will find him,
so we started the baptism. after the baptism he still was missing, so we
stayed at the church with another member to watch the members other son
so she could focus on finding her other son. so we pretty much babysat
(even though technically we arent allowed too haha but it was for a good
cause and another member was there too) for about an hour and a half
when all of a sudden we saw our ward mission leader running down the
hall, the son had shown up back in the relief society, with an ice cream
bar. so we all ran and started calling all the members and his family
members so they knew he was safe! no one still knows where he went or
how he ended up with an ice cream bar but we were happy that he was
safe, especially because 20 mins after we found him a huge thunder and
lightening and a down pour hit! definitely a big miracle!!!
well i love you so much and i hope you enjoy the cabin!!!
love
Hemenway 자매
not yet, since i am STL i have a meeting this week at the
office so i will grab it then! i tried asking the office elders last
week if i got one but they didnt answer until after we had already left
seoul....
to be honest i am really excited to be back with an american!!! and the
other two sisters, one is american and one is from somewhere in Europe
but i cant remember where
yeah i know i will, a couple of the sisters in the zone are korean so
most exchanges will be in korean and we still have a lot of
investigators so still lots of korean!
oh and i sent hunter an email that i hope helps him feel
better about a time when one of the APS said some things that hurt about
my korean, just so he knows that it has happened to me too.
haha its okay i got over it, that was like 5 transfers ago but i didnt
tell anyone cause i was embarrassed but i really felt like he needed to
know that its happened to me too, so i understand!
yeah i know, i
am still praying about it! when ever he wants me home is when i will
come home and then some how figure out the rest of my life!
hahah that foreign thing would be fun but i think i have taught enough
english to last a life time hahah i think i need to go back and work....
what kind of job? thats nice you took her to lunch! (Annabelle)
except i have to work with my CMA otherwise i lose my licence in 3 years, i have to make up all those hours i have missed the past year and a half
wow that is a really good job! i will have to talk to her about it when i get home!!!
well i have to get off, i love you so much, enjoy the rest of your time at the cabin!!!!!!! love you
