The cabin sounds like it was so much, that
would be nice to just sit at the creek and read a book, some days i cant
wait for that and other days i wish i could stay on my mission forever
haha not going to lie, last week we went shopping for pday and we went
to H&M and forever 21 and after we saw what they were selling made
me a little scared to go back to America, they dress so much differently
then koreans, and the music they played there was terrible haha (oh and
sorry i spend way to much money last week... but i needed some summer
dress and new shoes cause mine had holes in them and then i bought a
costco card..... i promise i wont spend money for a little bit)
This
week was good, we had some really good lessons with our investigators.
one of them we taught her the law of chastity, but we had her read the
pamphlet before hand and she loved it! it is always hard teaching this
to married people because they dont really see a need for it because
they already know its bad to cheat on their husbands. but with her she
focused on other things. she loved that it said we need to not only
watch out actions but also our words and thoughts. which to be honest i
have never really thought about that before this lesson. She said she
doesnt really like religion because she has seen so many people do bad
things and then go to church and repent only to just keep doing the bad
things over and over again. but she said our church was different, the
members here are different. whenever she sees a member of our church she
said our eyes are different, they are more pure. which is funny because
our president always tells us we teach with our eyes and our hearts,
which was really true for her!
our other
investigator we showed her the restoration video so she could learn
everything better with perfect korean and she liked it too, she said it
answered some of her questions that she has had. and she read the book
of Mormon!! she thought it was hard to understand but will continue to
read it till it makes sense. so know before we give an assignment we
will go over the background story so it can make a lot more sense. you
always forget that other people dont understand what you have learned
you whole life, that people dont know the book of mormon stories even
though you do! and the best news is that she is coming to church this
week!!!!! My mission president is coming and giving a farewell talk in
our ward this week so our bishop asked the missionaries to sing for him
so Sister Petry put together a really pretty song, called to serve with
homeward bound( we want to record it before we sing it so we can send
home a version because it is beautiful) and she wants to come here us
all sing! so yay for that!!!!
and to answer
your questions i have gone on a lot of exchanges this transfer, i was
over 3 girls so i went on 3 different exchanges so i left my area 2 of
those times and for the other one i had her come to my area. but i have
gone on a lot of spilts this transfer with Sister Petry the other STL
because we have to go to a lot of different combined district
activities. (our zone is way to big to hold a zone activity so the zone
leaders had each district get together with another district and do an
activity and then the zone leaders and STLs come so they can call it a
zone activity haha so that has been fun traveling to the other areas!
well i think that was it but i love you all so much!
