this
week has been really good! i was so sad to leave my old area but 일산 has
been so much fun! my new companion is Sister Hansen she is from utah,
we have so much fun together, we both had hard times with our korean
companions last transfer so we both are just happy to be with americans
again, which is also bad because we got a little to excited to eat
american food again so we ate to much and our stomachs didnt like us
haha so we went back to korean food! we are serving with 2 other sisters
so we live in a 4 man house and its the funniest things ever! one of
the sisters this is her 2 transfer here so she know the area pretty well
so when we get lost we can just call her and she can helps us which is
super nice! and the other one is a korean sister (one that i picked up
from the airport a few transfers ago) so we still have a korean we can
ask questions to which is also nice! so its fun serving with all of
them! this area is so busy its crazy!!!! all the missionaries here have
so many investigators and a lot of them are actually progressing super
well so that is nice to hear! right now we have none since we just
opened so we have spent most of last week walking and learning the area
(which is huge cause it covers two areas but they all go to the same
ward) and talking to lots of people!
the weird
thing about this area is people actually come up and talk to you first,
its the best thing ever! a few days ago we were sitting at a table
outside cutting out heart because we wanted to heart attack less actives
doors and we have 3 different families come up and talk to us and then a
few hours later we were in a different part of our area sitting on a
bench writing notes for those less actives and am old guy come up to us
and talked to us for about 5 mins he told us that he believes in god but
his wife doesn't so we talked to him about god for a bit! it was
awesome!!!
this week i found out the best way
to get numbers from people, you take pictures with them and then have
them send them to you! it worked way to many times this week so now you
get to enjoy pictures of me with random high schoolers hahahah
When
i first got to this area the sister said be ready for lots of meals
with members so i was like okay thats what im used to since my last area
feed us SO much! but she showed me the meal calendar and it was nothing
compared to my last area, they had maybe 5 this month when normally we
had like 15 so i think i will be good here!! and my korean is not as bad
as i thought it would be so that is good!@ i have been actually able to
understand way more then i ever thought, it helps that i dont have
anyone to rely on anymore!
cool miracle for
this week: the other sisters got a member referral this past week but
gave it to us since we have no one so we called her yesterday and she
sounds golden!!!! she asked right away where and when church was because
she wants to come, so we sent her the address and she sent us her
address and said she wanted to meet us so we set an appointment with her
tomorrow! we are happy to try and teach someone again!!!

yeah its been really good! both of us hate calling people but we had to
call that referral so i was like fine i guess i should do it and i
UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING she said and was able to answer her questions and
it seemed like she understood me! and all the members since they dont
know either of us talked to us a lot yesterday and both of us were able
to talk to them so it has been great for both of us to see we understand
more then we thought! prayers answered haha
