its also crazy to think at the end of the year i will be home...!!!!!!!
Crazy
thing that happened this week: we have access to Facebook and its super
weird! like super weird! so if you have seen activity on my account it
wasnt because it was hacked, its me! they are having us spend the next
little bit on it cleaning it up so we wont worry what our members or
investigators see. you never think about what you posted 6 years ago
until you have to scroll through and look at all of it. and yes its okay
to add sister gibbons (she was my second companion)
we
got transfer calls!! and GUESS WHAT?!?!? im transferring!!! im going to
신촌 thats where the korea temple is located. and my new companion is a
korean. but i have only heard great things about her so im excited! and i
also heard that she is really good at english so that is also good!
im
actually super sad to be leaving 길음, i didnt realize how hard it was
going to be until yesterday when i had to say goodbye to the members. it
made me realize how hard its going to be when i leave korea to go home.
When the missionaries leave an area they have to give a goodbye talk,
so i had to do that yesterday, i think i screwed up all the korean but
its okay, i was trying not to cry the whole time while looking at
everyones faces. I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH! the members in this ward have
helped me so much and i am eternally grateful for all they have done. i
dont think i would love korea so much if it werent for them! but im
excited for my new area and the members and investigators that i will be
able to meet and build relationships with them! so we will be busy the
next two days with packing and going around saying goodbye to all our
investigators and the rest of the members.
not a
whole lot has happened this week. i feel like all our investigators are
stuck, they arent progressing very much. which is sad. im praying that
the new sister who is coming in will be such a great help to them and
she will be able to help all of them take the next step in their
progression!
One of our investigators this week told us we
have meet with her 16 times and it made us realize we havnt really
gotten her anywhere those 16 times. so we finally had to guts to tell
her we wont be doing english class with her anymore but if she wants to
keep meeting us it will have to be to learn the gospel, but we can do
part of that in english. and she was okay with that! so hopefully
because of that she will progress and little more and a little quicker!
Another
one of our investigators, helen, we dropped her a few weeks ago but she
wanted to say goodbye to me so we met her last night and had such an
awesome lesson with her. we talked to her about the atonement and
everything it does for us, not just repentance. and we asked her if she
trusted God and Jesus. she said she didnt know yet. and then she went on
to tell us she read the WHOLE BOOK OR MORMON!!!!!!!!!! no one does that
here!!! and she said she feels a lot of peace when she reads it. so we
let her know that its because those are gods words and abd god loves you
so he gave us his words to read so we can receive peace and guidance in
our life. and thats why we need to trust God, because he loves us soo
much. we then extended her a baptismal date for feb 3. she thought about
it for a bit (which normally she just says no) and then said you know i
am buddist. and we said yes and then asked her what is holding her
back. she doesnt have a family, her parents died when she was young so
the lady who rasied her is buddist, and she passed away a while ago so
that religion is the only thing she has to a family. we told her that
this gospel is like a family because we are all gods children. So this
time she didnt just shut us down, which was a mircale in itself!!! i
wish i could be here to see where she goes, but i know the sisters will
take good care of her!
i havent been to the
office yet so i havent gotten my card, but i might be going there this
week so hopefully will get it then! do you know what my pin is for the
card?
it was so good to talk to you guys this week, it was
weird to go back to work but once we got back to work i felt like we
hadnt even talked to you guys!

ooh it was from one of my MTC teachers, i dont know why he sent it to
your email and not mine. he sent it to my whole MTC district telling us
he has loved seeing all of us progress and he hopes we have a happy new
year!
